“Sweeter than Candy” Photo Shoot

So yesterday I got the absolute pleasure of being a part of an amazing shoot with Kim from Maru Photography www.maruphoto.ca & Cheri from Isabelle’s Bridal www.isabellesbridal.com ! My first time working with Kim and boy, is she professional and hard working…but so sweet and really great to be around!

“Isabelle’s Bridal” provided the amazing dresses and gowns the models wore, and if you haven’t met Cheri & Mona, sister-owners of this Bridal Salon…you MUST go in and see them! They are super sweet girls, know their stuff, and carry the best of the best dresses! They are on Esplanade in North Van, across from Lonsdale Quay. If they are not there to assist you, you will be greeted by their best girls, and twin sisters, Kasia and Basia…I bought my dress from there and so have many girlfriends, so you will not be disappointed!

The creatives behind this were like candy to the eye…the set was dreamy and the dresses made you want to get married!

I also got the privilege of working with Wedding Belle’s Sarah Groundwater-Law, and Aubrey Arnason from TV’s “The Proposal”! These girls have big personalities, and there was no shortage of laughs yesterday! http://www.shaw.ca/TheProposal/

The theme was ‘Sweeter than Candy’ and we had the female models channeling an Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly era, and the men representing James Bond looks. Models Julianna, Brandon and Theo brought their A game and Kim Maru snapped up a storm of them with Sarah and Aubrey! There was a pitch to Valentine’s Day…cupcakes, champagne, oversized helium balloons, everything was white, pink and gold tones, candles lit, it was an amazing set!! Everything took place at Sugar Studios…www.sugarstudios.com…this was a killer location!

I was in charge of Makeup & Hair and it was fun to play around with some different looks and styles! I love working on the fly, outside the box, and love to help bring together someone’s vision! I love to work with new themes and have fun on set…and both of these were accomplished yesterday!

I’m looking forward to seeing the final product, and all the photos!

Stay tuned…I’ll be posting final shots in a couple weeks!
