Whistler Editorial Photo Shoot at the Fairmont Chateau!

I absolutely love doing makeup and hair for my beautiful Brides…but I also love Styling and working on Editorial Photo Shoots! And as an artist, we are always looking to challenge ourselves and show our creative and artistic side!

Yes, opportunity does knock on your door, but sometimes you haveto create your own opportunities…which is exactly what I chose to do!

I love Fashion, Clothes, and the whole Styling component of putting a shoot together. Having many years of modelling in my background, I understand what it’s like to be in front of the camera aswell…so I decided to get creative and put my own shoot together!

I chose the Fairmont Chateau Whistler as my location.
The grandness of the lobby and the character of the hotel made the perfect backdrop for the setting of my Winter Shoot.
I like to support local aswell, so I automatically asked Trish from Style Zone www.facebook.com/SquamishClothing if I could feature her clothing in my shoot, and her being the biggest sweetheart, always willing to be a good person, obliged right away!
As for my photographer, I was so happy to have Andy Dittrich come on board to shoot it!
He has been photographing for a very long time, does grip, and travels around the world with National Geographic. www.grip.tv
He brought expertise and a keen eye, and he couldn’t have done a better job!
My model Jill from Furry Creek was an absolute pleasure to have! Her red hair and freckles were so gorgeous and she photographed SO WELL!

My theme was lots of layers, textures, accessories, and I involved fresh looks, evening, winter wear, and big-comfy-cozy-super style!

All in all, it turned out amazing, and I was thrilled with how my first editorial shoot went!
Putting something together completely on your own, you are 100% responsible and with all the hard work that everyone did, I was only hoping at the end of the day, I could exhale a deep breath knowing it was successful!!

Stay tuned, will postpictures soon! This is just the beginning…more to come!
